B-29 DOC Joins the Wings Over West Texas Air Show Performer List; Ride Flights Also Available

B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides will be available at Abilene Regional Airport before and after the show
The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour will land in Abilene, Texas, April 16-21, as a featured performer at the Wings Over West Texas Air Show at Dyess Air Force Base.
The tour stop will include B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides at Abilene Regional Airport before and after the air show, as well as air show performance flights at Dyess Air Force Base. Ground and cockpit tours will be available when DOC is not flying at the air show, April 18-20.
“The B-29 was the first heavy bomber in our nation’s arsenal during World War II; having the opportunity to connect the heritage of the B-29 with the B-1 bombers at Dyess showcases the evolution of aviation technology and U.S. airpower history,” said B-29 DOC Chief Pilot Mark Novak. “This air show and tour stop provides a unique opportunity for people to get up close and personal with history, while learning about and honoring the Greatest Generation.”
B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides will be available Wednesday and Thursday, April 16 and 17, before the air show, and Monday, April 21, following the air show at Abilene Regional Airport. Tickets for the ride flights in Abilene are now on sale at www.b29doc.com/rides. Ground and cockpit will not be available while DOC is at Abilene Regional Airport.
